Ilias Lintzos was born in Greece in 1985. He started playing music at the age of fourteen, starting with percussions and then with the drums. After high school he continued his studies in Information Technologies at University of Athens in Greece, while he started his music studies in a conservatory. After some years while he was playing, as a drummer or as a percussionist with few bands he started taking lessons from his favorite drummer, Mike Kapilidis, at "Modern Music School Athens" for three years. During these three years he was a member of the Morrison's Hotel which was a tribute to the Doors project with special success in Athens and around Greece as he was also playing with the Greek blues-man Andreas Gomozias.
In October 2009 Ilias left Greece and moved in Birmingham UK, where he still lives now. He studied at the "Academy of Music and Sound" for two years.
He works as a session drummer and percussionist around Midlands and he is a member of some of the most upcoming bands of the West Midlands scene.
Ilias has released eight solo albums; When my worries met my stories (2009), Gold, made in Asia (2012) and Unexpected (2017), This is Bhankra EP (2019), The Expected Unusual EP (2019), Invisible Colours (2020), Sound Library (2020), Upside Down Town (2021). He has produced various albums of various artists/bands.
He has also taken drum lessons from David Garibaldi, Dom Famularo, Walfredo Reyes jr., Ray Luzier, Ash Sheehan, Jim Bashford, Federico Gilardo, Dimitris Sakelaropoulos, Giorgos Mitsotakis, Nikos Sidirokastritis, Zaharias Pinakoulakis and bass guitar lessons from Chris Nokes.
